Faucets, Sinks & Fixtures — common questions
Should I repair or replace my faucet?+
If it's under 5 years old and a name brand, a cartridge swap usually fixes it. Older or off-brand fixtures are often cheaper to replace than to keep repairing.
Can you install a fixture I bought myself?+
Yes. Bring the box and we'll install it. We'll flag any obvious quality issues before we start so you can return it if needed.
What brands do you recommend?+
Delta, Moen, Kohler, Grohe, and Pfister for residential. All have solid warranties and readily available parts.
How long does a faucet install take?+
Standard kitchen or bathroom faucet: about an hour. Shower valves involve opening the wall and can run 2-4 hours depending on tile access.
Do you install pot fillers and bar faucets?+
Yes. Pot fillers need a stub-out at the range wall — we handle that during remodels or as a retrofit.
Low water pressure at just one faucet — what's wrong?+
Usually the aerator or supply valve. Both are quick fixes. If pressure is low everywhere, we look at the pressure regulator or main.
