Water Heater Install & Repair FAQ

Water Heater Install & Repair — common questions

Tank vs. tankless — which is right for my home?+

Tank is cheaper up front and simple to swap. Tankless costs more but gives endless hot water, saves space, and lasts roughly twice as long. We'll walk you through the tradeoff for your household size and gas capacity.

How long does a water heater installation take?+

A standard tank swap is usually 2-3 hours. Tankless conversion is a half to full day because we upsize gas, add venting, and mount the unit.

Do you haul away the old water heater?+

Yes. Removal, hauling, and recycling of the old unit are included in every install.

How long should a water heater last?+

A well-maintained tank runs 8-12 years. Tankless units routinely hit 18-20 with annual descaling.

Why is my water heater making popping or rumbling noises?+

Sediment buildup on the burner or elements. A flush can help early on; if the tank is old, it's usually a signal it's near the end of its life.

Do you install recirculation pumps?+

Yes. A recirc pump gets hot water to the far bathrooms in seconds instead of minutes and pairs well with tankless.
